About Loxure

In March 2020, I founded Loxure to combat bicycle theft. Theft will always be around (thankfully; no theft would mean we live in a surveillance state), but we can fight it as a society. And so, five years ago, I launched the first bicycle alarm in the Netherlands. I still vividly remember typing the word "bicycle alarm" and getting zero hits. Now it's a different story. A bicycle alarm is a household name, and I recommend everyone (especially those with an e-bike or cargo bike) get one.

My mission: less theft = less sadness (financial and emotional)

Have a very nice day,

Philip

The Bicycle Thief (1948)

Shortly after I started Loxure I watched the Italian film The Bicycle Thief About a poor man in post-war Rome whose bicycle—essential to his work—is stolen. He and his young son wander the city searching for the culprit. A classic, definitely worth watching.

The beginning

It was a bit nerve-wracking at first. A bicycle alarm was a completely new product, after all. Fortunately, things went very well in the first few months. This was mainly thanks to our customers, who provided excellent marketing: word of mouth.

Active Ants

Since September 2023, we've been working with Active Ants in Roosendaal to deliver our alarms to our customers on time. What's special about Active Ants is that almost the entire process is automated with small robots (the ants).

Fabrikant

Cycling Should Be Possible

One of the highlights in five years of Loxure was a long article and a mention on the front page of the Belgian cycling magazine Cycling Should Be Possible.
